Sorair & KeyOptions team up to heighten security detail for a Home Office Immigration Removal Centre
On the 1st of April, Sorair Technologies deploys another drone automation system… but this time with the UK’s government department, the Home Office.
This deployment is at one of the Home Office’s Immigration Removal Centres in the UK and marks Sorair’s first installation for government/public sector entities.
Installation Day/Soranet Pilot - On-Premises Deployment
In April, Sorair Technologies and KeyOptions, assisted by ASEL – Argenbright Security Europe Limited collaborated in the efforts to install a drone-in-a-box system along with Soranet Pilot™️ at a Home Office IRC (Immigration Removal Centre).
In the end, Soranet Pilot™️ and the drone-in-a-box systems were installed on a secure roof/balcony, and flight tests were performed to verify that all functionalities were working optimally.
This deployment was a special one for Sorair Technologies, as it was the first time they deployed their first ‘On-Premises’ version of the Soranet Pilot™️, providing heightened security measures within the Home Office’s environments.
Beyond Visual Line of Sight Within Airport FRZs
The Immigration Removal Centre sits within an airport flight restriction zone, a type of site that people would have said was impossible to get approvals for previously. Sorair has had a 100% success rate with BVLOS applications to the CAA under the new SORA regulatory framework released in late 2025 and looks to add another successful application to its portfolio. Part of operating within an airport aerodrome/FRZ is communication with ATC (Air Traffic Control) daily, plus the addition of Sorair’s ‘Airbeacon’, which shares live telemetry drone data with other cooperative aircraft in the surrounding area.
Sorair x KeyOptions - New Partnership
In Q1 2026, Sorair developed a new partnership with KeyOptions – a Global Counter-UAV defense contractor currently working to deliver systems for prisons and critical national infrastructure.
Starting off their partnership in the best way possible, through commercial projects, will lay the foundation for further commercial arrangements, plus technology integrations enabling Soranet Pilot™️ users to get access to state-of-the-art counter-UAV/UAS & monitoring solutions.
As KeyOptions delivers systems to entities in countries across the globe, they provide Sorair with similar market access through their existing and newly onboarded customers, where Soranet Pilot™️ fulfils requirements.
